How to Make the Law of Attraction Work in Your Career
By Guest Blogger Heather Matthews
To be wealthy, there are a lot of elements that are in play. It’s not just about figures, about money, about assets in the bank.
The rich don’t get to where they are just by being good at handling their finances. There are things that should be innately present in the person to be able to get to that point.
Everyone assumes it’s all about material investment, but a person’s holistic well-being plays an important part in their success in all aspects of their life. One should never underestimate a solid foundation of good character and a positive frame of mind.
Here are some things that will help you with that.
We have a nasty habit of looking at what we don’t have rather than what we do have and that contributes greatly to not having them.
If you continue to view your life in terms of what is lacking, you will always be in that constant pursuit to fill a void, and in that negative frame of mind that you are lacking. Looking at life like this will only make you frustrated and depressed.
Instead, try to look at the things in your life that not everyone has—maybe a loving partner, supportive family, fun set of friends, a healthy body. If you see things in terms of what makes it feel full, then everything after that will feel like a bonus.
People aren’t important because of the things they have. If your sole motivation at becoming rich is so that you’ll be worth more, then you’re sending out the wrong vibrations to the universe.
You need to find a sense of accomplishment, of value, in something that cannot be taken away—and that is your spirit.
Once you have gotten the feeling of pride in yourself, that’s the time you can believe that you deserve to be a millionaire, to get the things you desire—because you deserve it, and you can tell yourself that.
You’re not broke
You might as well be if you keep repeating this to yourself every payday. The more you repeat it, the more it echoes inside you, and the more it resonates in your psyche.
It works the same was as affirmations do. So if you want to rise above the idea that you’re poor, then you need to start telling yourself that you’re not.
Wealthy people go out of their comfort zones—that’s where the money is.
If you don’t know how to invest or what to invest in, find a mentor or a financial advisor who will discuss it with you in terms that you will understand and help you make smart decisions where your cash is concerned.
Be wary of scams or people who tell you that there’s a fast and easy way to double your money. Study your options, study the market, and don’t be afraid to ask and to invest in what you think is a smart avenue.
Be your own boss
All of us are employees at one point or another. We shadow mentors, fetch them coffee, study their moves, and learn from them.
But this is all a means to an end. When we feel we have learned as much as we can from the people we look up to, it may be time to move forward and upward.
Use the skills you have gained in order to start something of your own. Yes, it will be scary and uncertain, but the benefits you will reap will be directed more towards you than to someone else.
If you prefer to stay on the corporate ladder, make sure that you’re still moving upward even if you still have a boss on top of you. The important thing is that you’re progressing and learning to be a pioneer yourself.
